NAME

zerodds-naming-svc - standalone OMG CosNaming 1.3 NameService daemon

SYNOPSIS

zerodds-naming-svc [--config FILE] [--set PATH=VALUE]... [--check-config] [--bind ADDR] [--persist-file FILE] [-V | -h]

DESCRIPTION

zerodds-naming-svc implements OMG Naming Service 1.3 (formal/2004-10-03) in full: NamingContext (bind, rebind, bind_context, rebind_context, resolve, unbind, new_context, bind_new_context, destroy, list), NamingContextExt (to_string, to_name, to_url, resolve_str) and BindingIterator (next_one, next_n, destroy), over IIOP and, with a certificate, SSLIOP.

The root context's object key is NameService, reachable as corbaloc::host:2809/NameService (the default port); every other bound context and every live BindingIterator gets its own object key, so a resolved sub-context or a list reply's iterator is a fully addressable object in its own right, not a handle only the root understands.

With --persist-file, the whole naming graph is written to that file (atomically: a sibling temporary file, then a rename) after every operation that changes it, and read back at start, so a restart keeps its bindings. Without it the graph is in memory only.

OPTIONS

--config=FILE

Base file, plus FILE.d/. Without it: naming-svc.yaml and naming-svc.d/ in the system directory. See zerodds-naming-svc.yaml(5).

--set=PATH=VALUE

One value above all files; repeatable. Every option below except --version/--help is short for --set of its file key.

--check-config

Check the configuration, print every value with its origin, exit 0 (valid) or 1 (invalid).

--bind=ADDR

IIOP listen address. Default: 0.0.0.0:2809.

--advertise-host=HOST

The host named in every IOR this daemon hands out, when --bind is a wildcard address. Default: 127.0.0.1.

--persist-file=FILE

Where the naming graph is saved. Without it, nothing is persisted.

--ssliop-bind=ADDR

SSLIOP listen address; enables SSLIOP. Default: 0.0.0.0:2810.

--tls-cert=FILE

SSLIOP server certificate (PEM).

--tls-key=FILE

SSLIOP server key (PEM).

--log-level=LEVEL

One of trace, debug, info, warn, error.

-V, --version

Print version.

-h, --help

Show the option synopsis.

SIGNALS

SIGTERM and SIGINT stop the daemon: the accept loops close, the graph is saved one last time when naming.persist_file is set, then the process exits.

ENVIRONMENT

ZERODDS_NAMING_ADVERTISE_HOST

The host the IORs name when naming.bind is a wildcard address; the setting naming.advertise_host, above the files, below --set. Default 127.0.0.1.

EXIT STATUS

0 normal stop, 1 configuration, 2 bind, 4 TLS.

FILES

/etc/zerodds/naming-svc.yaml, the file named by naming.persist_file.

BEZEICHNUNG

zerodds-naming-svc - eigenständiger NameService-Daemon nach OMG CosNaming 1.3

ÜBERSICHT

zerodds-naming-svc [--config DATEI] [--set PFAD=WERT]... [--check-config] [--bind ADR] [--persist-file DATEI] [-V | -h]

BESCHREIBUNG

Standard 127.0.0.1.

EXIT-STATUS

0 normales Ende, 1 Konfiguration, 2 Bind, 4 TLS.

DATEIEN

/etc/zerodds/naming-svc.yaml, die Datei, die naming.persist_file nennt.
